Secure Account Access
For
your protection, Desktop Banking employs two forms of security to
protect confidential data: Dual Password Protection
and Data Encryption. We know the importance of
security, and that’s why we require two passwords for account
access. In fact, we’re one of the only financial institutions
in the nation to offer this level of protection. In addition, our
system uses 128-bit data encryption, verified and monitored by VeriSign.
You can rest assured that your accounts are safe with Mid American’s
Desktop Banking.
Logging On
In order to use Desktop Banking, you will need to
specify both a PIN and a password in writing using our Authorization
Form. Once you have your PIN and password you can log on by
clicking the Desktop Banking link in the upper left of any of our
Web pages.
Warning:
You will have 3 tries to enter both your PIN and your Password.
On the third incorrect attempt, your PIN and Password will be
reset, and you will need to contact us to set them up again. This
feature prevents someone from trying to guess your log on information.
Browser
Requirements
Desktop Banking requires Internet Explorer 8.0 or higher or a browser compatible with 128-bit encryption such as Mozilla Firefox 3.5 or higher.. You can check the compatibility
of your browser with VeriSign’s
browser check.
