Mid American Credit Union has made it convenient to change your prior banking relationships to Mid American with our Account Conversion Kit. Follow the steps below, fill out the paperwork you need, and mail the forms to the necessary parties. It’s that easy!

Checklist to convert your old checking account to Mid American:
Make sure all checks have cleared your old checking account.
Make sure there are enough funds in your old account to cover any automatic payments that may yet need to be made.
Send written notice to your employer and other sources of direct deposits into your old account, notifying them of the change in your financial institution.*
Send written notice to companies you make automatic payments to from your old account (i.e. insurance, utilities, loans, etc.), alerting them of the change in your financial institution:
  Use this letter to switch automatic payment to your new Mid American account.*
  Use this letter if you want to cancel the automatic payments.*
Send vendors a form if you need to establish any new automatic payments from your Mid American account.*
Alert your former bank with written notification that you are closing your account(s), and tell them where to send any remaining funds.*
